I am looking so forward to being hosted by First United Church the weekend of May 3th, 4th and 5th to celebrate spring in a creative and lively way. These events are open to the entire community. Hope you can come! Here are some of the events

SATURDAY, MAY 4, FEARLESS WATERCOLOURS FOR BEGINNERS Two sessions: 9:30 – 12:00 noon 1:00 – 3:30pm
This 2.5 hour PLAYshop introduces you to the joy and surprise of watercolour painting. Through guided exercises, you will learn some basic techniques, such as different brushstrokes, drybrush, and wet on wet. You will make a simple color wheel, learning the fundamentals of colour mixing. We will finish by creating a watercolour mandala – a visual prayer or meditation. $60.00 (includes high quality materials) $80.00 for whole day. The afternoon session will be a repeat of the morning session. For those who wish to participate a second time, Sue has some additional exercises to try. Ages 10 and up. SUNDAY, MAY 5, 1:00 – 4:00 CREATE A SPRING TREE and FILL IT WITH BIRDS
