Paper Collage – A PLAYshop Celebrating Fall Colours

Sunday, November 3rd,  2019 from 10 – 4:30

Qu’Appelle Valley Centre for the Arts, 403 – 4th Ave., Fort Qu’Appelle

In the light-filled room at the Qu’Appelle Valley Centre for the Arts, we will enjoy a day exploring artistically with beautiful papers – some found (like candy wrappers or wasps nests) and some handmade, using the fibres of trees and plants. You will be amazed by the beautiful colours and textures, by the translucence of some papers and the sheen or softness of others. You can tear, cut, arrange and rearrange to your heart’s content.

Participants can make a wall- hanging, can decorate cards or boxes, or work on a project of their own. Examples will be available and help and guidance is available if needed.

all generations can enjoy paper collage

Supplies provided include scissors, glue, wax paper, and a variety of papers for you to use.

No previous experience is needed to enjoy this day. In fact, most people have fewer expectations about what a collage piece is supposed to look like, and this offers us wonderful freedom to explore and play.

If there is interest and the weather is good, I would love to lead a walk to look at the colours from 8:30 until 9:30. No additional cost. Let me know if this interests you when you register.

All Poached Egg Woman PLAYshops have a sliding scale from 0 to the stated cost of the PLAYshop. Please let me know if you want to make use of this when you register. $75 includes all materials, lunch and snacks. For those wishing to bring their own lunch, the cost is $65. To confirm your registration, please send a $25 cheque to Sue Bland, Box 128, Abernethy, SK. S0A 0A0 or an e-transfer to Sue at
