HANDS ON: Celebrating our Hands
Sunday, February 25th from 10 until 4 at the Qu’Appelle Valley Centre for the Arts, 406 4th Street, Fort Qu’Appelle
We often take our miraculous bodies for granted until something doesn’t work as it should. “Hands On” is an opportunity to consider, contemplate, focus on and celebrate our hands in a small group retreat-like setting.
Whose hands do you particularly remember? What are the stories your own hands could tell? What do you love to do with your hands? How do you take care of, honour and thank your hands?
In an unhurried atmosphere, we will use our hands in new and unexpected ways, share stories, take part in a hand meditation, eat finger foods, have time for quiet reflection, and create something with our hands that celebrates the amazing roles our hands have played in our lives.
If you are curious, check out these recent blog posts: Hand – Word Play about how we use the word hand, Shane’s Hands about my husband Shane’s hands or Gestures which asks a question (or rather poet Mary Oliver poses a question)
