Paper Play – Fall Colours

Usually held in October and November

at the Qu’Appelle Valley Centre for the Arts in Fort Qu’Appelle

Please join me for a beautiful day in the sun filled room at the Qu’Appelle Valley Centre for the Arts.

I will bring along my collection of papers – rice paper, handmade paper, found paper like candy wrappers or wasp’s nests – as well as scissors, glue, and wax paper. Together, we will respond to the beautiful palette of autumn. What you create is up to you…it could be a wall hanging, like the one pictured above. It could be some cards or a the cover for ajoournal or a folder. Perhaps, you would like to make a fall fairy?

While I won’t offer formal instruction, I will be there to share some hints about working and playing with paper, and I will provide lots of examples of possible projects to inspire you.

I have offered this PLAYshop for many years, and have always felt the warmth and sunlight and pleasure of gathering in a small community who all thrill to the beauty of  paper.

You do not need to have prior experience.

I will be offering lunch for those who may like to have their lunch made for them – it will include soup and ginger cake with whipped cream – that’s all I know at the moment.

The cost with lunch is $75. If you bring your own lunch, the cost is $65 which includes all materials and room rental. If you are an adult and want to bring a child, lets work out something affordable for you. I have a sliding scale from 0 to the stated cost because if you want to come but money is tight, I really want you to come. This is the world I dream of – where there are fewer barriers.
